「Both Sides Now」這首歌大致分為三段，

分別探討作者對於天空中的雲、愛情、與生命這些事情的觀感，

儘管她已經從各個角度都仔細的觀察過、體會過，

到頭來，她仍然發現，自己所記得的，只是那些事情片面的幻象，

從來沒有真正的瞭解過事實的真相，忠實、卻又相當無情的指出了生命的神秘與無奈，相當的耐人尋味。
